Vision Australia is Australia’s leading provider of services for people who are blind or have low vision. In 2017 they completed a major refurbishment of the Kooyong head office, with accessibility for vision impaired staff and visitors as a foremost design consideration. Monash University research team worked with Vision Australia to explore options for providing user-friendly maps and information, culminating in the installation of four laser cut site maps with interactive touch buttons.

This is an ongoing project. We are gathering further user feedback on the final maps to help inform future design guidelines.
